The “things that accompany salvation” make a glorious march in the forefront of it— from election down to these precious opening buds of virtue in the sinner’s heart. What a godly array! Sure the angels do sometimes fly along in admiration, and see this long array that heralds salvation to the heart. And now comes the precious casket set with gems and jewels. Genuine salvation is accompanied by diligent, faithful service to God’s saints out of love for Him. 1. Genuine salvation is always accompanied by visible evidence. One of the perennial pastoral problems in the Church is the question of assurance of salvation. On the one hand are some Christians who hold that to seek any kind of solid assurance is presumptuous. On the other hand are other Christians who appear to glory in just that kind of presumption—”just prayer this prayer.

Salvation is not by anything one thing alone, contrary to some popular opinions expressed today. We need to continue to "growing" the things that accompany salvation in our lives, and God will not forget them (Hebrews ). Jesus put the same lesson this way: "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Things That Accompany Salvation (Hebrews ) As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you doubtless have realized that salvation is `by grace, through faith', to the exclusion of all works as a procuring this. When the Apostle speaks of virtues and of graces, he calls them "things that accompany Salvation," not things which cause it. Our faith does not cause Salvation, nor our hope, nor our love, nor our good works; they are things which attend it as its guard of honor.
And the things that accompany salvation, are better things than ever any dissembler or apostate enjoyed. The works of love, done for the glory of Christ, or done to his saints for Christ's sake, from time to time, as God gives occasion, are evident marks of a man's salvation; and more sure tokens of saving grace given, than the enlightenings. THINGS THAT ACCOMPANY SALVATION Heb. Salvation changes a person (2 Cor. ). Salvation not only changes a person’s eternal destination, but it also changes his earthly disposition. A change in behavior (repentance). No change—No repentance; No repentance—No salvation. Salvation provides more that just forgiveness of sin and a File Size: 50KB. as indicated in the Bible. He is naturally occupied with the temporal things that are seen and is by nature blind to the eternal things (1 Cor. ; 2 Cor. , 4; John ) which are not seen. He is inclined to conceive of salvation as resulting from a manner of File Size: KB. Salvation is accompanied by many things. You can’t say I have salvation and do things that are not near to salvation. You have salvation but you reject what accompanies it. One of the things that accompany salvation is giving. So work out, cultivate your own salvation that’s [Philippians 2]. You can’t cultivate it and forget worship, worship of substance. So wherever .
